Columns / dimensions
curios.IT works best with tables with 3-13 numeric dimensions and 1-10 category dimensions. If your data has only one numerical dimension or no category dimension, some viewers will be not available. At least 3 numerical dimensions and one category dimension are required to take full advantage of curios.ITs capabilities.
Categories
If your file includes category columns (string content), try to keep the number of categories low (equal or less than 10). Some viewers show a maximum of 10 categories (the records belonging to the others are put in the group 'OTHERS').
Max. number of records
curios.IT LITE is limited to 250 records. To ensure satisfying performance, the full versions on the mobile/tablet platforms are limited to 2'000'000 records. On the browser platform the number of records is not limited and good interactivity can be achieved with up to approx. 2 million records (depending on the number of columns). Higher numbers are possible (depending on available memory) but may lead to response times of more than 5 seconds.
